A Few Things...

This very cool looking ATC is something I won!  Can you believe that?
I entered Artfully Musings drawing to win her art and this is what arrived in my mail today.

I absolutely love it and have been trying to figure out how to display it.  I think I'll be taking it with me to Micheals so I can find that "just right" frame.

I must say, her ATCs have given me all sorts of ideas for how to create uniquely shaped ATCs to trade.  I look forward to creating some of my own in the future.

These also came in today's mail...boy oh boy it felt like Christmas!
The one on the left is the one I purchased from Peggy @ The Bliss Factory.

I don't speak french, but according to Mr. Google, he says it means "Live Your Dreams" which is exactly what I'm trying to do.  :-)

I will be hitting up Micheals for some frames for these too and know just where to hang them!

The one on the right was another surprise.  She was super sweet and included an additional original as a thank you for being her first buyer.  I was tickled pink to receive 2 originals and can't wait to display them on my walls.

"Dream Dance Art" is what Mr. Google tells me it says.

...and finally...
These are a sneak peak of 3 8x8 canvases I decided to work on.
My New Years resolution to myself was to concur my fear of the canvas, lol.
I had bought some with the intention of painting, but since I usually work in digital and lately been focusing on jewlery, with the occasional ATC creation on the side...I have really only doodled in my art journal and hadn't had the courage to tackle the canvas.

Well, I did it.  I started by adding background music texture and then added color.
I was really inspired by my January ATC that I've traded, loved it so much, that I wanted to try and re-create it (with a few additions/changes) and see how they come out.

Once my partner receives her ATC I will post a pic, so be sure to check back in a few days!

I decided to do 3 because I wanted to do a series, if you will.
The blue one is going to be a wintery scene.
The orange one will be a fall scene.
The green one I think will be a spring scene, although as you can see I haven't gotten far with it because I haven't developed it in my head just yet.

I hope to get more work done on them this weekend, but my boss asked me to create her a tree of life pendant and she's going on leave this Wed for surgery, so I need to complete that so she can have it Monday, once that's done, I will tackle some more canvas.

I hope you are all well!
Thanks for reading.  :-)
