Zetti - Digital Collage

Print Available

"We all have an idea of what Zetti art is..."

...actually, I don't. Or, at least I didn't until I started my search...
I was truly baffled as to what Zetti art is.
I hit up google, wikimedia, searched art blogs and I hadn't the faintest idea of what the true definition is or what it is, exactly.

I did find a Zettiology group on Flickr's site that helped give me an idea of art styles that falls within this category,
but I still wasn't quite sure about the definition.

Nonetheless, a challenge is a challenge, and as baffled as I was I still gave it a shot for The Three Muses weekly challenge.

Topic “Zlightly Zetti”

So here's my piece - based only on the quick sneak peak description,
all the stripes and checkers I saw, and what I gathered from my searches.
Hopefully my piece falls within the category. :-)

  1. Very interesting piece. I enjoy the contrast of new age and old, as well as a little animation style. I was wondering what you were inspired by when you made this piece?

  2. Not really sure what I was inspired by exactly.

I started off creating a little girl, tried to follow in the footsteps of other images I saw in creating her scene...I ended up getting bored with her. Actually, kind of gave up and let it sit for a couple days while I gave it more thought.

I was half asleep when I envisioned this piece and once I started I just kept going until I was satisfied with the scene. :-)

  4. Zetti and surreal and a masterpiece all at the same time Leila, it's fun, and clever and MUST be seen close up to appreciate the lively humour in there. Fan. Tas. Tic.

  7. Leila, I don't know how your mind works but I am just glad that it does (work). Your picture really has to be enlarged to see all the details which are so whimsical, clever and funny. I think a first for me is seeing their "seats" which, if I am not mistaken, are toilet bowls with zebra legs!! Your Zetti ladies are gorgeous.
Thanks so much for joining in this week's challenge.

  8. @ Ozstuff - Your comment had me crackin up, lol. Honestly, I don't know why my mind goes in such odd directions, but every now and then it does and I have fun re-creating my thoughts.

Glad everyone enjoyed my piece, thank you so much for your lovely comments!
